Red Amaranth (Amaranthus spp.), popularly known as Lal Chaulai, is a very nutritious and highly suitable leafy vegetable for kitchen gardening. Rapid growth, quick rejuvenation after each harvesting, and high yield in super quick time are its important features. It is cooked and eaten like Spinach. The crop requires 5 to 7 hours of daily sunlight; however, it is shade tolerant.

Instructions
